Mini Disc Transcription

Mini disc recorders provide a fantastic, portable way of recording events in a clear, digital format. However, there is no mini disc transcription hardware available at present, but here at Audiosec we are able to carry out mini disc transcription by converting the audio to PC based digital files. There is no additional charge for this and we provide our clients with a free copy of the audio if they so wish, to be able to review and play the audio on their PC. We are also happy to advise where to download free software that will enable our clients to play, pause and rewind these files with ease when reviewing their transcripts.

What is included in our mini disc transcription service:

1. Free conversion of mini disc recording to digital PC audio file

2. Free copy of converted digital file provided to the client

3. Full proof reading of the transcripts against the recordings, including audio markers where necessary*

4. Fully itemised invoice(s) showing accurate per audio minute rate for the work provided.

* audio markers are inserted where it is unclear what was said, we never guess. Armed with your digital file you can review the audio on your PC against our transcript and fill in any gaps. We use Internet research and information you provide to avoid gaps but inevitably there will be times when we cannot hear clearly what is said and we prefer our clients to run through those sections to ensure as complete and as accurate a script as is possible.
