Our fees are competitively priced and our invoices thoroughly breakdown how much each audio recording costs to transcribe so that there are no hidden fees or surprises. Because we also project manage the whole process for our clients, they can be assured that no audio or transcripts go astray and that all members of the team here at Audiosec adhere to our clients requirements.

When dealing with university interview transcription or focus group transcription we can layout your transcripts to fit in with the analysis software you are using, whether that be Nvivo, AtlasTi, HyperRESEARCH or MAXqda. Because we stick to your deadlines does not mean you get 30 transcripts back on the day of the deadline for you to wade through, we send back the scripts as they are completed and keep you updated as to the progress of the completion of the whole project and liaise with you regularly to ensure that your requirements are being met. If you come up with a problem with any of the transcripts, we address this with you to ensure you get the full service you require.

We offer a discounted rate for university research units, charities and NHS Trusts of £1.50 per audio minute. There are some drawbacks to being an audio transcription service that is in such high demand - we have had to register for VAT so clients should note that there is VAT to pay on top of the £1.50 per audio minute. However, for research projects that are not able to claim back VAT as they are being funded by charities, we will further reduce the sum to £1.40 per audio minute plus VAT but please make this clear at the time of enquiring so that we can apply the correct rate to your project.

We know there are services on the Internet that are cheaper than ours but because all of our team have to pass an accuracy test and have come from first class professional backgrounds (ex-legal secretaries, PAs, medical secretaries ...) we will not pay them 'sweat-shop' fees for their expertise. Our professionalism and quality of work is commensurate with the fees but not exploitative of our clients. We also never outsource our work to outside agencies but only use members of our own, screened teams of professional transcribers.

Audiosec and all members of the team adhere to a confidentiality agreement and we are happy to provide this to our clients to ensure that none of the content of their work is divulged during or at any time after the work is completed. We are also able to receive your files across a secure, encrypted file transfer system and likewise will return transcripts across this network if our clients deem them to be of such a confidential nature as to not have them returned as an email attachment.

We do our own Internet research where difficult terms or names are used and should we still be unable to decipher what was said we will never guess but put a query mark or audio marker, whereby our clients can locate exactly which part of the audio is in question and fill in any gaps with their prior knowledge of the content.
